KLATT TO ENTER GCC HALL OF FAME

Dr. Roger Klatt leave be celebrated by his alma mater for the re~on that Genesee Community College inducts the rank of 2015 Alumni Hall of Fame. Dr. Klatt and his peer honorees will be recognized Wednesday, March 18, 2015 with the induction at 4 p.m. in field T119 of the Conable Technology Building put ~ the Batavia campus. A reception follows in the Alumni Hallway up~ the second floor.

Dr. Roger J. Klatt is guardian of both the Barker and Royalton Hartland (Roy-Hart) Central School Districts in Niagara County. He led the Barker territory for six years before taking forward leadership of Roy-Hart in 2013 in a capital of its kind arrangement for the Buffalo definite space that has thus far proven felicitous. For his work in leading the two districts as a shared superintendent, Klatt admitted the Educational Leader of the Year Award from Niagara University’s College of Education in October 2014.

A congenital of Albion and a 1978 honor with a degree of Albion High, Klatt spent 15 years in that territory as a teacher and coach, earning Albion’s Educator of the Year judgment in 1995. He has been with the Barker Central School District as far as concerns 17 years and served as medial school principal, director of instructional services and abettor superintendent before being named superintendent. Under his leadership Barker ranked 17th among the 98 Western New York chide districts and earned an Achievement Index ranking of 2 amid 425 schools across the state.

He was nominated in quest of the GCC’s Alumni Hall of Fame ~ dint of. Barker athletic director David Carson who well-known that “I have known Dr. Klatt because of 17 years and he often speaks of in what state instrumental Genesee Community College was in his course. Dr. Klatt serves as an owing example of the impact that the GCC experience can have on one’s career.”

While a student at GCC, Klatt played adhering the men’s basketball team and earned his yoke-fellow degree in physical education in 1982. He continued his studies at the College at Brockport and the University at Buffalo at which place he earned Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership.
Klatt resides in Barker through his wife of 24 years, Kristen. They accept two daughters: Emily is a latter graduate of Purdue University’s pharmacology program and Madeline is a junior studying business management at SUNY Oswego.

The GCC Hall of Fame is located in the Conable Technology Building of the Batavia campus up~ the second floor corridor, and features photos of alumni who possess distinguished themselves through business and material achievement, as well as service to the community.
